Abstract: This study assessed the effectiveness of digital communication tools in accessing agricultural information among commercial poultry farmers in Nigeria's South East. The specific objectives were to describe the socioeconomic characteristics of the poultry farmers and ascertain the level of access to digital communication tools (DICTs) among poultry farmers in Ebonyi State. We collected data using a structured questionnaire and purposeful, straightforward random sampling procedures. Data collected were analysed using simple and inferential statistics like frequency distribution and means. The hypothesis test employed the Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Findings from the study indicated that a mean age of 42, consisting of about 53% of males and 47% of females, 24% were single, while 8% were either widowed or widowers. The respondents' educational level shows that they were highly literate (95% with one form of educational attainment or another); On level of access to digital communication tools by the farmers, the result indicated a grand mean of 2.54, implying a high level of access to digital communication tools in the study area. The results of hypotheses testing show that there is no significant difference in their level of access to digital communication tools across the three local governments of Ebonyi State, which include IAbakaliki, Afikpo and Onicha respectively.
